About

Yanisa is a PhD student at the Sheffield School of Architecture, The University of Sheffield, UK. Her PhD research is entitled ‘design and assessment tools of an enabling environment for dementia care’. Her research focus is about dementia-friendly environment which is designed to support their symptoms within a physical environment, which lead to a ‘specialised’ environment. An enabling environment enables the psychosocial barriers of environments and attitudes imposed by care stakeholders.

She currently develops and manages the platform at Dementia Journey. She has previously worked as a Research Assistant for various research projects in Bangkok, Melbourne, and Sheffield.She also spent a few years as a freelance teacher and designer.

Originally from Thailand, she studied in Bangkok, London, Melbourne, and Sheffield. She is now based in Bangkok Thailand. She loves books, coffee, and wandering.
